We regularly receive feedback from guests who stay in the houses we manage. Each property is individual, and part of the enjoyment of staying in a characterful coastal home is that every one is a little different.
Our team works closely with homeowners and guests throughout each stay. We manage the housekeeping for all but five of our houses and are involved day to day in looking after the properties and supporting our guests. This allows us to respond quickly and ensure everything runs as smoothly as possible.
We believe this hands on approach makes a real difference, and many of our guests feel the same.

Nothing was too much trouble and the smallest enquiry dealt with efficiently. I would like to thank Lisa in particular, for the way in which she responded to the issues we experienced with the heating and hot water. She couldn’t have been more responsive even on Boxing Day! It can’t be easy to always manage the dynamics between the home owner and customer and she dealt with the situation in such a positive manner. I have had a great 11 nights at Tamarisk in Constantine Bay. Thank you very much. Tamarisk is such a wonderful warm comfortable cottage perfect for me and my three little dogs. It is a big house for just me..yes it is, but the garden is safe for my dogs, it is an easy walk down to the bay, and I love the conservatory. The house was perfect – just what we wanted. In a brilliant location and great value for money. It was immaculately clean, it contained everything you could want on a holiday and more! We were very impressed with all the soap, kitchen rolls etc which often you have to provide yourself nowadays. As for your service, it was the best we have ever come across. Nothing was too much trouble and we were provided with all the information we could possibly need. Even early access was confirmed which was very helpful. I am sure we will be back but just too early to confirm at the present. Very many thanks.

Lots of positives to mention about the property, including location, fabulous views, well kitted-out kitchen with plenty of crockery, cutlery etc., everywhere very clean, comfortable bed and excellent comms from yourselves, making booking the holiday easy & straightforward.

We can’t fault the service we have received, from the booking and updates regarding the building work next door (which didn’t impact our stay). It was such a lovely day on arrival we decided a trip to the beach was necessary. The cleaners were in the house, but allowed 2 of our 3 cars to park on the driveway due to it being so busy. So kind and friendly. We had a wonderful stay at Pendarves. The location was absolutely perfect.

We had a brilliant time staying at Lowena in Trevone. Everything was very clean, including the fridge and cupboards and the welcome tea tray was lovely. We felt very at home all week and were sad to leave, especially as we had the best weather possible for our first holiday away! We had a power cut during our stay and some problems occurred with the fuse for the oven and lighting in the kitchen. We were very grateful and impressed by the efficiency of the Raintree team who got people to visit the house as soon as possible at our own convenience. Everyone was so friendly and we were very touched by the bottle of fizz we were given at the end of our stay to apologise. Thank you so much! We hope to be in touch soon with a booking for next year!

What a wonderful holiday we’ve had. In the words of my 4 year old granddaughter who was with us, it was awesome. The house was perfect. Many thanks for sorting it out for us so quickly when the house we were due to stay in was unavailable. The house was absolutely perfect, we’ve been to Cornwall on a number of occasions and has been our best stay.

As for Raintree – having been on so many of Porthcothan house in the 36 years I have been coming I can assure you I know all about the cleaning and servicing of the houses! ANd what I am about to say is absolutely the truth. Your service is faultless except for our slight disagreement about the 7pm availability which you solved beautifully and I was also so please with our caretakers quick response to lack of hot water twice etc etc and the use of the deep freeze which we could not have done without.

I would like to thank Raintree, the cleaners and the owners (who left early so we could come). Who made our holiday even possible. The whole booking process, emails with info etc were well co-ordinated. The house was cleaned beautifully at the very last minute! And we were even left tea and cake. The owners were fantastic for giving up their holiday to ensure we could have ours. The house itself was absolutely perfect. Every facility was there and working. The kitchen was amazingly equipped. The tennis court was fun. It was like being to another world where covid did not exist. The views from the house itself and the cliff top walks to walking the dog over the beautiful sandy bay made it perfect. I wish it didn’t have to end and return to reality. No one and nothing could have made our holiday any better, we are extremely grateful.

It was a fantastic holiday thank you. I know there is not much you can do about this but thought it worth mentioning in case Raintree Holidays thought it worth noting on the house notes that if guests prepare fresh fish and seafood (which is understandable since we are right next to the sea and it is delicious! ) that they ensure they dispose of fish skins and scales etc appropriately and are mindful of future guests. I don’t want this to come across as a complaint against Raintree Holidays though because our whole family think your service and attention to detail and care for your customers is absolutely FANTASTIC.

I have this morning taken a phone call from the guests who arrived at The Buck on Tuesday. They called in to say thank you to everyone for making the arrangements for their arrival at the house. It was so cosy and warm and clean, lovely that don’t have to worry about anything on their arrival and grateful for the milk./cake etc. They have stayed before and are constantly pleased with the level of standard provided by Raintree all round!

We returned home from Trephyl today, having had the most wonderful week. Thank you! We only discovered Raintree last year, but have been so impressed with your properties, their cleanliness and the service. We had a super time and enjoyed the space and views enormously. As I said in the earlier email, we hadn’t found Raintree until last year but are so glad we have. Holidaying time is tight as a family and knowing everything is going to be clean, well supplied and ready to go makes us relax from the moment we got there. The cake helps too and my husband and son certainly snaffled it out as soon as we arrived. The Sunday to Sunday changeover made for easy journeys and leaving at 11.30 was a treat too. Huge and grateful thanks.

Booking arrangements all went very smoothly. It feels reassuring to be dealing with agents who are so locally based. Suggestions for improvements – it would make a big difference to be able to get into the house at 4pm rather than 5pm, after a long journey.
