SO WHAT MAKES A RAINTREE HOUSE IDEAL FOR YOUNG FAMILIES?
So what makes a Raintree house ideal for young families?
You can park up and switch off. The beaches, coastal paths and open space sit right on your doorstep.
All six Raintree beaches link easily on foot, with scenic headland walks between them.
Local shops sit close by. You can buy fresh food, daily essentials and everything you need for the beach.
You can travel lighter. Many houses include a cot and high chair. If not, we can provide both for a small hire charge. Travel cots come with a padded base. Some guests bring an additional mattress for extra comfort.
Worried about children waking you at the crack of dawn, with Cornish sun streaming through the curtains? Well to make sure you and your young ones get a full night’s sleep, we can also provide black-out blinds for you. Quite useful for afternoon naps as well!
FAMILY FRIENDLY ACTIVITIES NEARBY
Beyond the beach, you have plenty of family days out close by. Camel Creek Adventure Park sits just a short drive away. You get rides, animals and play areas for all ages. Macdonald’s Farm offers a gentle, hands on experience with animals, outdoor play and space to explore. It suits younger children especially well.
Surfing lessons run all season along the coast. Local surf schools offer sessions for children and complete beginners. Boards and wetsuits are included. You can book single lessons or short courses, giving your family a safe and memorable introduction to the sea.
For quieter moments, rock-pooling is a favourite. You can explore the shallows, spot crabs and small fish, and turn simple discoveries into lasting memories. It is safe, slow paced and perfect for curious minds.
Beach games are just as rewarding. You can bring a ball, a kite or a bucket and spade. You can build, run, play and unwind together, with space for children to be active and adults to relax.
